Summer Reading Program 2020

There are 4 reading programs in youth services:

  • Read to Me (for kids who aren’t reading yet)
  • Elementary Kids (entering grades 1-3)
  • Tweens (entering grades 4-6)
  • Teen (entering grades 7-12)

Two girls reading.Once you register your child, you'll have the option to have a reading log mailed to you by email or snail mail. via snail mail.

In every age group, for each day of reading, the child’s name will be put into a raffle and at the end of the summer reading program, 25 $25 gift cards to Sorrento’s Pizza will be raffled off (6 for each group, plus a bonus one for all groups).

In addition, there will be daily programming for children’s and teens. Please check our website calendar regularly for the most updated information.

The Children's Department at the Pearl River Public Library is excited to offer for the first time ever a secondary Summer Reading Program experience for our young readers! 

Page Turner Adventures will be presenting a full summer of VIRTUAL PROGRAMMING – 5 days a week for 10 weeks! The programming will include comedy story theater shows, crafts, recipes, author interviews, guest performers, contests, games, and much more. 

The Emmy Award winning team at Page Turner Adventures uses their signature Slapstick Steampunk style to turn the ENTIRE audience into the HERO of sidesplitting SUPER SIZED Stories.

Your kids can register for both the traditional Summer Reading Program and Page Turner Adventures, or choose one or the other.
