A Photographic History of Orangetown
Wednesday, May 16th at 7:00pm
Orangetown Historian Mary Cardenas will speak and give a PowerPoint presentation about the "collective history of the river villages and hamlets that make up the town of Orangetown,” contained in the new book Orangetown. This pictorial overview from Arcadia Press’ Images of America series, recently published by the Orangetown Historical Museum and Archives, contains over 200 photos of the Orangetown area. The program is free for all who attend.
Copies of the book will be available for sale that evening by the Friends of the Library.
Marquetry Artists of Rockland County
On exhibit May 9 - June 4

Marquetry is a decorative process of creating pictures or other objects with pieces of wood veneer. The marquetry artists will demonstrate their skills to the public on Saturday, May 19th, from 2 - 4pm. The Rockland Marquetry Artists meet Tuesday mornings at the Library and new members are always welcome.
